The protection of your personal data is a priority for Palmyra K11.

Your data will be processed by Palmyra K11, registration number 174903/AL  (hereinafter referred to as Palmyra K11). Palmyra K11 is the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).

 

Why do we process your information?

Your personal data may be collected and processed by Palmyra K11 for the following purposes:

a) To comply with legal obligations to which Palmyra K11 is subject, in particular communications to foreign and border services and for billing purposes.

b) For the performance of the Temporary Accommodation Contract for tourists or the Local Accommodation Management Contract entered into with Palmyra K11, including payment transactions, check-in and check-out management, guest management, deposit handling, provision of additional services (such as cleaning, transfers, breakfast or grocery services), contractual management, or pre-contractual procedures.

c) For mobile and email communications, including information and commercial communications, digital platforms, and within the scope of Palmyra K11 marketing strategies, as well as for information requests.

d) For the purpose of protecting property or assets held by Palmyra K11, as well as for statistical analysis.

Failure to provide personal data for the purposes described in points (a) and (b) may result in non-compliance with legal obligations and may lead to the termination of the Temporary Accommodation Contract or Local Accommodation Management Contract without any compensation, as well as limitations in the services provided by Palmyra K11.

 

What personal data do we collect?

Within the scope of its activity, Palmyra K11 collects and processes personal data necessary for the provision of contracted services, handling requests, or pre-contractual management. This includes identification data, contact details, and bank or payment card information.

 

On what basis do we process your data?

The processing of your personal data is based on:

  • The execution of the Temporary Accommodation Contract or Local Accommodation Management Contract;

  • Compliance with legal obligations, particularly those related to immigration and tax laws (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) of the GDPR).

Additionally:

  • Data processed for marketing purposes (point c) is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

  • Data processed for asset protection and statistical purposes (point d) is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

 

How long do we retain your data?

Without prejudice to legal or regulatory requirements, your personal data will only be retained for the minimum period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or processed.

 

Who do we share your personal data with?

Palmyra K11 may need to share your personal data with the following entities:

a) Companies affiliated with Palmyra K11, provided they comply with equivalent data protection policies.

b) Public authorities to whom Palmyra K11 is legally required to disclose information, including the Foreign and Border Services and the Portuguese Tax Authority (Autoridade Tributária).

c) Service providers acting as subcontractors, solely for technical or operational support, such as hosting providers, email marketing platforms, cleaning services, legal advisors, accounting firms, and insurance companies.

d) Competent authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to detect technical or security issues, including judicial authorities or regulatory bodies.

 

Are your data transferred outside the European Union?

Your personal data will not normally be transferred outside the European Union. However, in exceptional circumstances and in compliance with applicable legislation, Palmyra K11 may transfer data outside the EU for purposes such as hosting, storage, technical support, backup, or service development. Palmyra K11 ensures that any such transfer complies with GDPR requirements and guarantees an adequate level of data protection.


What are your rights?

At any time, under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Restrict processing

  • Object to processing

  • Request data portability

If requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, Palmyra K11 may charge a reasonable administrative fee or refuse to act on the request. Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, nor processing based on other legal grounds. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).

However, please note that data transmission over the Internet is not entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We respect the confidentiality of your data and do not sell, distribute, or commercially disclose your information to third parties. Palmyra K11 undertakes to process your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation.
